The room was clean and comfortable. It was in process of remodeling, so it was missing some lampshades. I would definitely stay here again.
Nice and clean! We were just an overnight stay while visiting my family nearby. Called on our way and they were very accommodating. Let us check in early and drop our stuff off. He even offered cold water ( at no cost). The room was very clean, carpeting in great condition, windows that could open to let fresh air in. Was a great choice for us traveling through the area.
We were in town visiting family for a few days. We were able to get a room without having a reservation. Owner was friendly and accommodating. When I called to ask for extra towels, owner brought them to our room right away himself. It was quiet at night, with no street noise to bother us. We were even offered a senior discount at check in, which I found to be very nice and considerate. Not all places offer a discount for us seniors without being asked. Mattress was new, with new bedding. We had cable TV and free wifi also.
We were very pleased with our stay here. We were in town for a family funeral. The room was a little dated but very clean and comfortable. The beds were a little to firm for my liking but most people like a good firm mattress. The owner was really friendly and called our room a few minutes after we got in to see if everything was ok and to our liking and told us to call if we needed anything at all. We would definitely stay here again.
Was in town for a while for work and needed a cheap no frills place to lay my head. So glad we found the Economy Inn. If you're looking for major amenities or updated decor , skip this place. But if you are looking for a clean, comfy place to crash I highly recommend this place. The guy who runs this place, can't remember his name, is great. He goes above and beyond to ensure a great stay. Like I said..... its not fancy... its homey and in a great location! Clean, friendly staff, and price point was excellent!
The staff were very nice and accommodating. The location is central to just about everything. There is no breakfast but we had a fridge and microwave in the room. The room is small and old but well kept. Whomever cleaned it did a nice job each time and worked around all of our stuff very nicely (including not recking the card game my kids had left set up). We would gladly stay here the next time we are in town.
When coming back home to Taylorville I always choose this motel. It’s been in the same location for as long as I can remember. The new owners are making so many improvements to new beds, flooring, curtains, furniture. Our room was extremely clean and was supplied with extra towels. I will continue to stay here for as long as I come visit.
Very clean and neat old-fashioned roadside motel. Welcoming, friendly owner. I just had a one night stop over on my backpacking pilgrimage after some rain the night before. Great little place, still furnished with original finishes; has a cool Route 66 vibe and very reasonable rates
